Vision & Mission

Analyzing customer’s voice all over the world, we indicate the direction for all business issues in company from customer trends perspective.

As an independent function within the planning division, we provide recommendations on the direction of Nissan’s product planning, marketing, and sales strategies on a global basis from various perspectives, including customer feedback (market research) that we gather and analyze, as well as competition, regional characteristics, trend foresight, and sales volume forecasts. We do this not only by considering target customer insight, but also from the perspective of long-term trends and how Nissan can differentiate itself from its competitors.

Main Tasks

To support the development of car models from comprehensive perspective throughout the process, from product planning to marketing.

    Volume forecast of each vehicle segment and predicting trends in society, economy, consumer values, lifestyles, etc.
  • 【Segmentation and targeting】
    Customer research and data analysis for customer segmentation, targeting and positioning.
  • 【Survey for product concept creation】
    Understanding requirements, reasons and other factors that stimulate customers to consider purchase.
  • 【prototype products evaluation】
    To ask prospective customers to evaluate a prototype of the vehicle model under development to identify necessary improvements.
  • 【Research for creating communication concept】
    Understand the target customers’ worldview and preference in communication to formulate advertising expressions.
  • 【Evaluation of communication ideas】
    Evaluate the degree of comprehensibility of TV ads and other advertisements.
  • 【Post-launch evaluation】
    Evaluation of various aspects of the product, such as recognition of the product name and product features, together with the profile of the product purchaser, in line with the goals of the project.
