On Day 1, you’ll learn through group work about the global leadership qualities that Nissan demands of its talents, the latest trends in the car industry, and the future car society that Nissan has been aiming toward.

On Day 3, You’ll experience some of the programs that discuss future business strategy and business model from management perspective and have a talk session with some executive board members and young leaders at Nissan. Q1 Why did you apply for the internship?

One of my job search goal was to step out of my comfortable zone, and I found Nissan’s internship program was just perfect and challenging for me to attain such a goal, so I joined the internship. Also, I was attending one of the local colleges back then, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get to know students from colleges in Tokyo area and expand my horizons.

Q2 What did you learn through it?

During the internship I was inspired many times in ways quite different from what I experienced on campus, which widened my world view. Also I eared life-time friendship with not only those who joined Nissan together but also those who found employment elsewhere.

Q3 How did you feel yourself grow?

During the internship, we put serious effort on business planning and execution, through which I acquired the ability to tackle issues set before us through effective team work. The experience I gained during the internship helped me through my job search and even now what I learnt back then is a great use to me. The internship experience has partly made me who I am today.

Q4 Any advice to the students who are considering of applying for Nissan internship?

You may get relentless feedback during the internship, but it’s all the more reason why you should not let go this rare opportunity to learn a lot from this challenging internship. To keep advancing toward your vision with positive mentality always create new you. So take our challenge and join our internship!

Q1 Why did you apply for the internship?

My top priority in my job search was to find the workplace that just fit me in terms of work culture and work style. Nissan had full of training programs that develop global talents and open many options for females to pursue their careers, which aligned well with my career goals, so I joined the internship without second thought.

Q2What did you learn through it?

I learnt great deal from discussion on a range of business themes with art and science people mixed together. Also, I had talk sessions with actual Nissan employees and the valuable opportunities of tours around R&D shops, where I ran across many people with whom I desired to work together in future or those who I would want to become, which assured me that this was the company I’d like to work for.

Q3 How did you feel yourself grow?

Through the group work experience, I obtained the ability to work with a team and draw a conclusion in a limited time. I rarely had the opportunity to train myself proceeding discussions without deviating from main themes. The high-level discussion and presentation by other interns were the most inspiring.

Q4 Any advice to the students who are considering of applying for Nissan internship?

The internship offers you a great opportunity to observe yourself objectively through the eyes of the global talents working at Nissan. By acting autonomously you can try your limits and see how much you can do, and you can know your interests or desired workstyle. Please join this challenging program to think about your desired career path and workstyle!

Eligibility Requirements: ① College undergraduates or graduates in MA/PhD courses in Japan or overseas. Both students of liberal arts and sciences are eligible.
② TOEIC:730, TOEFL (iBT): 79, IELTS:6.0, or equivalent English level
③ Having interest in technologies and global leadership
※Those who haven’t reached the minimum required scores can take  CASEC , the online English test whose results are obtainable instantly.
